The Founder

I’m Joaquín Bruna, a marketing professional and travel designer with an entrepreneurial background in bespoke travel.
Based in Germany and rooted in Chile, I grew up at the foot of the Andes, where I spent countless weekends hiking and cycling in the mountains, and where my connection with exploration first began.
That passion eventually led me to join Ecochile Travel, where I spent a decade helping build one of Chile’s leading specialists in tailor-made journeys across Chile and Argentina.
For more than a decade, I guided countless groups and designed bespoke itineraries—from the Atacama Desert and Easter Island to Patagonia and the fjords of the far south. I worked closely with travelers, hotels, local partners, and people on the ground, developing a deep understanding of what meaningful travel really means.

A strong place of sense
Remote Frontiers explores destinations shaped by wilderness, culture, and a strong sense of place.
By sense of place, I refer to what I call a remote state of mind—a way of travelling that invites exploration, self-reflection, and pushing beyond your comfort zone, while building a genuine connection with the places you encounter.
Today, we are constantly exposed to outside noise and digital distractions. Finding a remote state of mind has therefore become increasingly important for our wellbeing. And it does not always require crossing the world to explore the unknown. Sometimes, it begins by recognising the places, experiences, and conditions around us that allow us to disconnect, explore, and reconnect.
